Delete Your Account
Applies to the LearnIndonesian app (com.learnbahasa.app)
You can delete your LearnIndonesian account at any time. Deleting the account also deletes the data stored with it - this is not a deactivation.
From inside the app (fastest)
- Open LearnIndonesian and go to the Profile tab.
- Scroll to Privacy & data.
- Tap Delete account and confirm.
The account and its data are removed immediately. You will be signed out and the app returns to its just-installed state.
If you can't open the app
Email [email protected] from the address you used to sign in, with the subject Delete my LearnIndonesian account. We verify the request comes from that address and delete the account within 30 days, usually much sooner.
We ask you to write from the registered address because that is the only thing tying the request to the account - acting on a request from any other address would let someone delete an account that is not theirs.
What gets deleted
- Your account: email address, display name, and sign-in identities (email code, Google, Apple).
- Learning progress: completed units and levels, exercise results, flashcard scheduling, daily goal, and activity streak.
- Pronunciation scores.
- Notifications and study history.
- The subscription record we keep to unlock Premium.
- Any unused sign-in codes issued to your email address.
What is not deleted, and why
- Voice recordings - nothing to delete. Recordings are scored and discarded at the time; we never store the audio.
- Your subscription itself - a subscription bought through Google Play or the App Store is billed by them, not by us. Deleting your account does not cancel it. Cancel it in Google Play subscriptions or in Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions, otherwise it keeps renewing.
- Payment records - we never receive your payment details, so we hold none to delete.
- Backups and logs - residual copies age out of our backups within 30 days.
Deleting the app is not the same thing
Uninstalling LearnIndonesian removes it from your device but leaves your account on our servers, so your progress is still there if you reinstall. Use one of the two routes above if you want the account gone.
